Service & Support Plan Agreement

Taking a Service & Support Contract with SoEasy is a very affordable way to receive:

  • Free Yearly Upgrades

  • Free Support

  • Free Training

Simply pay a regular fee and keep your system up-to-date. A contract may actually save you money in the long run!

First payment is in advance. Minimum term 12 months.

 

What is covered?
  1. General guidance to install and set-up the SoEasyAccounting program and specialist modules with the exception of the following 7 issues where separate charges apply:
     
    • Configuration of the Operating System Network
    • Internet and/or service provider issues
    • PC and peripheral installation and maintenance issues
    • Other software
    • Any other instance of system related issues
    • Data conversion or entry of data
    • Data reconciliation
       
  2. Assistance providing information on how to perform a procedure, if available within the current version of SoEasyAccounting.
  3. Assistance to resolve a demonstrated issue with a procedure within SoEasyAccounting.
  4. The Support Plan includes free updates and upgrades as and when they become available although no guarantee, expressed or implied, is made as to the availability of features discussed within the support period.
  5. Assistance may be provided through any means such as remote assistance over the Internet, telephone guidance, tutorial references, but excludes on-site visits or client visits to our support department.
  6. Additional benefits such as business information and tips.
  7. Free access to training resources delivered via the Internet.
What is not covered
Assistance not covered in the Support Plan may be offered at the current chargeable rate or the user may be referred to a third party whose charges, if any, are the sole responsibility of the client.

  1. The Support Plan does not include inquiries for general accounting, taxation advice, and legislation issues and in all cases any accounting advice that may be derived is made with no guarantee to its appropriateness or accuracy, and in no way is to be construed as professional advice. Please refer to your Accountant for such information.
  2. Producing artwork.
  3. Modifications.
  4. Training, other than our Quick Training Programs
  5. Hardware and operating system issues.
  6. Data conversion.
  7. Data recovery.
Support desk hours
Support is provided during 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and excludes weekends and public holidays. An after-hours support service may be available but in all cases, such support is automatically chargeable.
 
Terms and Conditions
  1. A Support Plan is provided for a set fee covering a 12-month period.
  2. For your convenience, Support Plan fees can be paid monthly in advance.
  3. There is a minimum term of 12 months.
  4. The fee must be paid in advance by Direct Debit, cheque, or credit card.
  5. If you cancel the Support Plan and/or Direct Debit before the end of the first 12-month period, you will be responsible for paying SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd the remaining balance.
  6. At the end of the initial 12 months, you may cancel the Support Plan with a one month written notice.
  7. Availability of support services may be affected by volume of enquiries and technical difficulties from time to time.
  8. We reserve the right to limit a support call to a maximum of 30 minutes and one issue per call. We also reserve the right to terminate a Support Plan for any reason.
  9. Support requiring our support desk to call a cell phone number or an overseas number will be charged a flat rate of 50c + gst per minute unless otherwise stated.
  10. Terms, conditions, and price structure of the Support Plan may change without notice.
  11. Limit of Liability
    You agree that SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damages (including but not limited to loss of profits or data) suffered or liability incurred by you, caused by or resulting from the provision of a SoEasyAccounting Support Plan, even though SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd may have been notified of such damage or claims. This clause applies for the benefit of all related companies of SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd and all of its/their officers, employees, contractors and agents.

    If SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd or any of the other beneficiaries are ever liable, whether for direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage to you and, for any reason, cannot rely on any exclusion of liability set out in this clause, the maximum combined liability of SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd and those other beneficiaries to you shall be limited to the amount SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd has invoiced you for the SoEasyAccounting Support Plan in the twelve month period up to the date of the event giving rise to the liability.
     
Resolution of disputes
In the event that a dispute arises for any reason:
  1. All disputes must be detailed in writing to the General Manager, SoEasyAccounting.com Ltd, PO Box 10287, Bayfair, New Zealand.
  2. Efforts will be made to address the detailed issues.
  3. In the event of an unsatisfactory resolution, an independent advisor at your own expense may be engaged in mediation.
  4. Any resolution by mediation shall be made based upon the Limit of Liability clause above.
Support Plan Rates
Your plan will be calculated for you based upon the version and modules you have purchased and are using.

Example calculations:

If you have the Professional Version (Small Business Version) then the rate is $29.95 + gst per month.

If you have the Enterprise Multi User version with the Service Industry Module and you also have 3 additional users then the rate is made up of:

Enterprise Multi User = $125.00
+ 3 users @$9.00 = $27.00
Total $152.00 + gst per month

Development Sites
We frequently provide development services to clients wishing additional functionality.

Development sites can consume a large amount of support time that is not included in the development quotation.

To accommodate for the development period an additional charge to the standard support contract is made. This means that the appropriate support plan is initiated and an additional charge is made during the duration of the project and for a further 1 month after the project has been signed off.

A separate rate may be negotiated but the following charges are the base rate and exclude GST.

  Any applicable flight and accommodation charges are to be paid for in advance.  
Hourly Rates Analysis and Programming $120 + gst per hour
  Training $85 + gst per hour

Invoices for development are sent out weekly and are due payment within 7 days.
